Pre-war a journalist and married to a French industrialist: Joined the Pat MI9 escape line and assisted Allied evaders through the Unoccupied Zone to safety in Spain. Her activities became known to the Germans and she was obliged to flee via Spain to the UK arriving June 1943: recruited by SOE’s F Section 13 December 1943: parachuted to South Central France 29/30 April 1944 to join Freelance circuit and act as courier for Major John Farmer in support of the maquis.
