After the National Archives, the Imperial War Museum is the world’s principal repository of SOE material. The IWM holdings range from equipment, uniforms, medals and weapons to dozens of collections of diaries, letters and unpublished memoirs. Its oral history archives contain hundreds of hours of interviews with former members of SOE and special forces. All of these sources are available for study by members of the public, by appointment.
